AN INTRODUCTION AND INVITATION TO NCC SMALL GROUPS
FUSION - “a merging of diverse, distinct, or separate elements into a unified whole” through continuing CARE Groups and new Affinity Groups
It is our commitment to help you grow in your relationship with God and to experience the rewarding [abundant – John 10:10b], remaining [abiding – John 15:4-8] and reproducing [fruitful – John 15:4-8] Christian life.
This year we are adding ‘Affinity Groups’ to our small group ministry and both our CARE or growth groups and affinity groups will be managed under the new name ‘FUSION.’
CARE Groups will continue to experience fellowship, prayer and discussion time together to spur each other on to spiritual maturity. Affinity Groups come together around an area of common interest and use that to attract others, introducing them to both Christian fellowship, the local church and to Christ Himself.
We believe that both kinds of groups afford the following advantages, all part of what it means to be a disciple-a Christ-follower committed to living out the priorities of both the Great Commandment and Commission.
• a small group will give you a sense of belonging.
• a small group will provide you with the personal care you need.
• a small group will help you grow spiritually.
• a small group will give you an avenue to serve one another.
• a small group will support your involvement in ministry.
• a small group will help you reach your lost friends for Christ.
While it is our desire for everyone to be part of a small group, we are limited by the number of groups for which we have leaders and apprentice leaders.
